As its name denotes, La Fondue specializes in Swiss style
Fondue dining.
Located in Dempsey Hill, Singapore's new trendy dine
& wine zone, where beautifully refurbished old buildings are surrounded by
lush greenery, the restaurant features a beautiful design which makes it look a
bit like the dining hall of a European castle, or an old Swiss chalet, with
dark wood-beams across the ceiling, old-style wall lamps and classy leather
seats, that help to create a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.
The menu features different sets you can choose from.
Basically, the sets are for couples or for groups, and comprise of four
courses: The lovely salads come first... A selection of fresh, rich and
flavorful salads you can choose from. Cheese fondue follows suit with a wide
variety of interesting combinations to choose from... Mexican style cheese
fondue (with herbs, Jalapenos, white wine and garlic), Wasabi cheese fondue,
Wild mushroom fondue and Swiss traditional cheese fondue... just to name a
few...
The main dish is next in line. The mains selection is not
tremendous but the options are very good... fish, beef, vegetarian and a choice
of pasta dishes.
Finally, it's the deserts time and, as expected from a
Fondue establishment, delightful Chocolate fondues are the main thing
(including Whisky Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Orange Chocolate and what
have you...)
You don't have to
take the full set... It's possible to choose only one or two dishes
Prices are not too high: A full set (for a couple) is SG$
75 per person
Open daily for lunch and dinner (11:30AM-2:30PM to 5:30PM-10:30PM)
